The project workflow is divided into four main activities (Management, Research & Development, Demonstration and Dissemination), to be developed along the three years duration of the project.

The project workflow was carefully designed taking into account the technical objectives, the targeted results and the management of the resources within the expected time frame. The work has been divided into nine interlinked work packages (WPs), represented in the PERT diagram in the Fig.2.

The project workflow is divided into four main activities (Management, Research & Development, Demonstration and Dissemination), to be developed along the three years duration of the project.

WP1 will enable a constant dialogue between the industrial partners and the technology developers, by establishing an activity of monitoring and evaluation of the results of all other WPs against the industrial requirements and application constrains.

Work packages related to the scientific and technical development activities will enclose innovative moulds design and manufacturing (WP2), a replication processes research work package (WP3), and a work package devoted to adapt optical inspection techniques to product and process monitoring and quality control (WP4).

The output of the research and development activities accomplished in WP2 to WP4, will feed the next block of activities of the project: concurrent engineering to obtain an integrated solution by means of a flexible and costeffective manufacturing route. These activities will be developed within WP5, while life cycle analysis andfeasibility assessment is performed in WP6 for technical evaluation of measurable results of the project.

The demonstration work package (WP7) will apply FaBiMed concept in real medical devices, following mainly the particular needs of current and near-future products of the industrial project partners, and complying with the conditions defined in WP1 by them.

The dissemination and training activities (WP8) will be active during the whole project, starting with the creation of the project website and finishing with the transfer of the project results towards the SMEs participants and target market.

The management activity of the project is taken over by WP9 in an integral way, to coordinate the flow of information among partners, and also between the consortium and the European Commission.
